MONTREAL– Design agency Mookai recently rebranded. Originally formed in 1996 as Sychowski Communications, the name change was in the works for over a year.

Mookai is the new name for Sychowski Communications

The name Mookai took inspiration from the energy stone mookaite that is said to “instill a talent for recognizing multiple possibilities and for choosing the best solution.”
“I had been name searching for over a year, and well, let’s just say it was one of those ah–ha moments. The energetic principles of the stone were in line with our design process and how we work in the studio,” says Lori von Sychowski, creative director and principal for Mookai, in a released statement.
The double o’s, set close together, create an infinity-like symbol. “This also ties into our design process at Mookai. We like the idea that there are infinite possibilities,” says von Sychowski.
Gotham was used to produce a simple yet bold wordmark. Contact: www.mookai.ca
